like the gentle light against the strong blackness. feels like a rose at night.

In b&w, it's more poetic and about memories. B&W has more impact in this way.

hi gayle,

thanks for the humor? =)

hey, I didn't stop remembering you! now way! =)

I like the offset of the flower here and the hinted shadow on the left. gives the flower a lot of room to breathe (and the viewer to let his fantasy fly).

good work, my dear.

best wishes,

thilo

Excellent title. It's such a ghostly, spiritual image.

great way to use black and white in this photo. Most florals are almost too colorful, but this shot captures the beauty of the rose without color. good job.

Where Will You Go
You're too important for anyone
You play the role of all you long to be
But I, I know who you really are
You're the one who cries when you're alone

But where will you go
With no one left to save you from yourself
You can't escape
You can't escape
You think that I can't see right through your eyes
Scared to death to face reality
No one seems to hear your hidden cries
You're left to face yourself alone
Evanesence...

All too well, I know this, but the beauty of the rose will outshine the sting of the thorn. :) Dottie
