Great series showing the life of the artists on the island Tim. And I love this one the best, honestly I think this one (and the other of the same artist) best represents the modesty of an artist, the others have more of a commercial feeling (artist posing while knowing that this is for advertisement reasons), don't get me wrong, I admire their works and I could be very wrong, but that's my impression.

hi tim - i really like the strength of this piece & it captures pyx & her work really well. The angle of shooting is a lot of what makes it so interesting. The only drawback for me is that she's so much in shadow - i don't know if you could tweak it just a little to bring her out a touch more. Just an idea.

This is seems like an ordinary shot, but what really amazed me is the colors. So vibrant and crisp. The painting on the background added wonderful and attractive tones to this image.
I used to paint also. I love paintings and it has been one of my bestfriends. Nice shot!
