About After my roommate was tossed out of his bunk for the third time one night i decided to lash myself to the bed. I was top bunk and couldn't really afford to land on the floor half way to Europe on this trans Atlantic crossing....lol

Always good to hear from you...| imagine the season is right for travels and many new images from you. Hopefully I will return to your fair country,"Basque country", in February ... when you are there. I did meet Malules for some coffee in Barcelona. It was great to meet her!

Hi Debjit,
It has been a while since posting or going here as well. But then a new trip always inspires production of images to share.

Tim you need to work on giving us a feeling of motion Outstanding, colors are good, maybe a tad bit more fill light on each side of the frame--outstanding, feeling wheezy right now--excuse me---------------ron s.

Outstanding work! Award well deserved. The intentional "off-horizon" angle of the shot gives the viewer a feeling of being rocked on that boat. The colors and exposure are wonderful, terrific job!!!

Very best of wishes............ Mike

Imageopolis Featured Photo Critique Great work here Tim, and congrats on the well deserved award for this shot. I hope your camera didn't get too wet. I love the lighting and also the lack of it in this shot and how the two together create a stunning and moody feeling and atmosphere to this shot. The colours and exposure here are stunning, well done

Hi Chelsea,
Thank you very much. I like to create images that are visceral but this is a tough thing to come up with every time. Mostly it is luck of timing. When this was shot i was struggling with sea sickness a heaving ship and a new experience. it was a surprise that things came out so well really.

This whole series has been wonderful, but this one makes my body feel like leaning and my feet grip the deck, with a cold wind blowing my hair. I love the lighting, those sails against the dark clouds. How big was the ship?
