About Subject background: Rockefeller Center by night, seen through my beloved wide angle. The canyons seem to suck the viewer in the background. You may see the big xmas tree as well, some angels trumpeting and some guys sharing the scene ;-)

PS concept: actually, just a mild work on levels. colors were that exaggerated.

Special equipment: Sigma 14mm handheld

As always: Honest feedback highly appreciated

WOOOOOOOW !!!!!

Rockefeller center....where you can sit down for a cup of coffee costing 7 dollars...where ice skating is a tradition and located right, smack in the middle. Close to everything. A breathing space where no air is to be found. I love your shot and i love the city itself and you obviously love it to.

WOW thilo!
u did it again this is super I love the extreme wide angel look!
you managed to cram everything in and created a dramatically beautiful result! Excellent perspective and aperture!
Im not so sure about the two guys in the image, the one on the right and the hat on the left they take away some the feel of the image thats why im giving it a 6/7
a fantastic location worth going back there again and shoot some pics without the distracting hats ;)
Into my favorites

vg, uwe :-)

I'm going to buy a 14mm!
This is a nice , different shot and I like the contrast between the simple origins of Christmas and the modern consumer hysteria it has become!

beautiful shot Thilo. i've always felt the really wide lenses "composing for me". you have the photographer's eye.
