Dave...original ( beautifull) picture. You only can take this as a subject when you have bee along with your camera for a long time ! You must develop an eye for it. Best wishes from Holland.....Taco.

From the thumbnail I thought it was a big lump of Christmas pudding covered in cream. Fantastic shot Dave showing how desolate your winters can be.

Interesting view, Dave. Very well composed. I like how the snow wrapping those ball (what is it?). Nice blue tone, as well. Congratulations, my friend.

A fine shot, Dave, sharp and crisp. It's interesting that the hay isn't protected in any way. In the U.K. it would either be wrapped in thick black plastic or else stored in a barn.
Best regards, Chris

It's all been said! Beautiful exposure and details! Do you have the white balance on auto or did you change it? Underexpose any or anything?

I like the sharp shadow in the dazzlingly bright sun. A tough exposure problem to keep detail in both the shadow and the snow. You of course know exactly what you're doing and accomplish it to perfection. Great job.

From the amount of snow left I would guess that the hay will get eaten before spring. Nice texture in the snow and hay Dave. Well done! Best wishes for a warmer spring :-) Larry
