This is the beautiful town hall in Hamburg/Germany. Created built around 1900, it was pretty much spared from war damages. Many artists from all over the country were involved in the construction.
Picture details: Exposure 1.3s, aperture 9, focal length 27mm, no flash, no tripod (but leaning at a light pole).
You are absolutely correct, Mark. The perspective of the image needs to be corrected.
This is what I love about Usefilm. I had never done a perspective correction, but your example helped me understand the concept and learn to do it with my tool of choice (which is a fresh install of GIMP 2.2.3).
If you don?t mind, I?ll repost the resulting image (will give appropriate credit).
Jurgen, I took this photo and did a slight perspective adjustment to straighten out the buildings. It keeps them from looking like they are falling inward. What do you think?
This may be my favorite of yours, Jurgen. It is excellent in every aspect. The motion of the train and the scene visible through its image are amazing. Again, I'm so impressed at these shots without a tripod. You have some steady hands, my friend!
