About Taken in Lake Powell, Arizona.

Lake Powell is more than just a fantastic recreation area. Awesome in its dimensions and complexity, its desolate beauty makes it an experience never to be forgotten.

Lake Powell, created by the Glen Canyon Dam, is 186 miles long with more than 1,986 miles of shoreline. By the time the dam was completed in 1963, it took another 14 years to fill the lake. Since then, Lake Powell has proven to be a premier attraction for millions. Here I used a polarizer with my camera set on a tripod. Velvia 50 Slide Film. Slide was scanned using a Canonscan FS400US. I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Lake Powell on vacation about two years ago. It is an awesome place and an experience I will never forget. Your photo captures all the beauty of the Lake.

No longer "No Man's Land," Patrick, because you've made it peculiarly your own with this superb photograph. Just when I'm beginning to think I've got your "look" pigion holed and know what to expect from you, you come up with something like this. Stunning! My only niggle is that the surface of the water doesn't really look like any water I've ever seen... but then I've never been to Arizona, so what do I know?

Nice photo as usual Mr. Patrick Di Fruscia, maybe just a bit too much of Neat used here. This time "only" 6/7.

This is a fantastic shot. The detail in the front is an important part of this picture along with the blue and orange complimentary colours. Very pleasing to veiw and would be proud to display as one of my own.
