About	I was cropping out an incongrous stick and got the impression from what is left behind that the ferns are generating energy to push into the white field of the frame. Pehaps to emphasise that the white area should be bigger. Kakarirki Hapu = Pregnant green. Thanks to Sonya for soucing the maori title. Nga tamariki o te kotu, the children of the mists. No mist today but it goes hand in hand with ferns.

I agree. I suspect this thing with colour and grain is derivative of some Kiwi photographer. Not sure who it's derivative of. I can't name any New Zealand photographers of the bush.

Couldn't let this one go away. I like the dof on this one, not pin sharp but has a subtle grainy quality giving a mythical feel to the photo. Very kiwi, if I could say.
