Gene, Harriet is a good friend (see also http://www.usefilm.com/image/594509.html) and I was staying in her cottage - the photo was taken from her garden (as Omar guessed it was a warm summer evening) but she didn't know that I was taking the photo specifically then, it wasn't set up. I thought her vaguely busying about typified the indoor scene.

Aah Jonathan, ever the voyeur! It really re-creates that late summer evening feeling when the sun sets late and it is warm enough to keep the windows open all night .. (not sure what time of year it actually is, but that's my impression)

Yes I do like it. Have you tried taking the top window out of the frame? However it does not bother me a great deal. If you have time take a look at my upstairs downstairs photo.... Cheers, Ben
