I like your version and I see what you mean about the detail in the shadow area. What is the high pass method of sharpening - I'm not sure it's available in PS Elements.

Hi Ray.. I hope you don't mind but I did alitttle wok to your pic. I heightened the contrast until I could see slight detail in the shadow area and then clone some of the bricks which burnt out with the contrast. And then used the High Pas method of sharpening. I think it looks a little better but of course you may disagree. regards to you Marie

Thanks. I added some contrast and a green filter in PSE3 then subtracted color with a channel mixer plugin. I tried to pull up some highlights in the chute but I didn't like the results.

Good abstract in B+W. Did you do any photoediting? because I think it could do with some more contrast and a little brighter. it would then make it a more "punchy" pic. Regards marie
