Gord, I like this portrait. It's simple yet still has appeal. The angle is good in that it shows the tracks behind her and everything just adds texture to the photo. Very rugged, but feminine. thanks for sharing!! )

I find the gleaming railroad track, leading from the top of the image toward your subject, a very strong part of the composition ... and, The attitude, exhibited by your subject, is quite captivating. Very, very nice.

Thank you very much Michael!! I might have lost a bit using the scanner. The print looks sharp but I could have sharpened it up a bit with ps. Thanks again. Really appreciate your kind comment. Gord

WOW, awesome location, I was just thinking this very same type of location for some future portraits myself, I just need a victim first. This is a great shot but here?s my nit pick, it?s a little too much on the soft side, I suspect it was pretty sharp at f8 and 1/60 so you might have softened it up a bit in post process, soft works for most of this shot, but I?d sharpen up the eye?s, lips, teeth, hands and her knees a little bit more. The soft looks good on the rest of her face. (Did you run this thru ?neat image? this at all?) I?m not trying to be rude; I?m just trying to offer my honest opinion. Just to let you know, I?m adding this to my favorites? it?s truly a great shot! ~Mike
