About Getting up at 3.30am is not my idea of fun but I had seen these converging lines formed by the fence and jetty at the edge of Coniston lake, Cumbria, England. I was convinced there was a photograph to be had at sunrise. When I arrived a thick mist hung over the lake and the light was a steely blue colour. I elected to emphasise that colour with an 80B mild blue filter and liked the result through my viewfinder. It was while contemplating this view to infinity, that I realised an eerie pink glow from a very weak red sun was tinging the mist pink, as it slowly lifted from the lake's surface. It was photographic nirvana. Please do look at my website for more of my work www.transientlight.co.uk

Awesome shot. At first I thought it was entirely PS but what a great capture. Even I would get up at 3:00 A.M. for a chance like this. Great anticipation. thanks, patrick

What can i say! Excellent shot. it seem like the lake is endless as there is no limit. The water look calm and still sleeping, giving a peaceful mood. The pierlook beautiful with its reflection as well. Best of the Best! 7++
