About An hour before sunrise at the edge of lake Coniston in the lake district, Cumbria. The water is mirror smooth and the soft lilac and blue of twilight is exaggerated by the reciprocity of Velvia. A quirk of film that can be richly exploited.

Talk about being at the right place at the right time, and with your photographic eye - you capture a moment in time that many people hardly get the chance to encounter. Your photos are fantastic and I'm enjoying viewing them all.

The lilac tones and fog make for a visually stunning combination. Everything looks crisp and clear. Excellent in every way!

Wonderful colors, Ian. The contrast between sharp foreground rocks against hazy mauve distant cloud has an etherial quality. It makes carrying that heavy tripod before dawn all the more worthwhile. Cheers.

Awesome! I love everyting about it. The stones add texture and a sense of flow inspite of the flat and serene subject matter. Good work.
