Hi Mark,

I personally love (and always have) loved wide angles. It enables me to make striking compositions. The lens itself is top class, however it becomes a 18-36mm equivilent because of the size of the ccd. If I was to purchase one again I would consider a lens that is not just for digital SLRs (as mine is), this way you have the option of the getting the full 12mm if you have another Nikon film body - food for thought!

Rgds,
Shane

shane, i'm impressed by your images. I was considering getting a 12-24 lens. I can see that you use yours a lot! mark

Thanks for the comments Manu.

I suppose its another one of those shots that I am not sure of myself. I think it is dramatically exposed indeed but that was teh desired effect. What let me down was teh camera - it was brand new with all the factory settings intact (no sharpening, no contrast added and no extra stops to let in more light). I played around with it teh other night and this is what I got. I personally think it looks better when viewed large - the thumbnail makes it look boring!

Rgds,
Shane

Looks like a gritty documentary from the '70s! Great work.

Great shot of the caravans and great shot of the upturned boat. But put them in the same shot and to me its all too confusing. They don't seem connected in anyway. Do you have any seperate shots of these?
