Thanks George, I agree. I often use a polarizer for water as I did here and on most of these from Ricketts Glen. Try it on the water reflections you shoot, it can give some good effect. Also an 81a or 81b warming filter would have been very useful here but I did not own one at the time. It warms the color in open shade like this. Good luck, -mm

It is a wonderful picture. Just about everything is right. When a scene is as contrasty as this, it is great to get a shot this well balanced. (Between you and me, I continually struggle with filters. Just can't seem to get it right. Still, it will probably pay off some day.) Best wishes, --george

This type of shot is really hard to pull off. A graduated neutral density filter could have helped tone down the highlights and balance the light. Nice try.....
