About I know it's not a good photo but it's my first kingfisher. Of all the birds around they are my most favorite probably because they are so hard to get a photo of. They scare easily and fly fast and far. First time trying new telephoto lens. Will keep trying for a better one.

Fabulous Marcus. Love that red under it's wings. Acutally, when I see them it's usually near the road on a wire and by the time I get off the road and park and get out they're gone...lol Will keep trying to get closer tho. Thanks for posting this one. Marilyn

Great shot of the really hard to capture belted kingfisher, I know how hard they are to get close to, and to even get a shot off is great work. after a few years I have captured a few, here is one in flight that I will post someday, they are actually one of the few bird that look better perched.....
thx for the comment....

Den, with that lens I think you could capture one for sure. I'm going to keep trying until I get a clearer shot. Thanks. Marilyn

Just seeing one is good, I did see one on holiday in Canada, but no change of a shot at it

I'm still awaiting the day when I get a Kingfisher in front of my lens Marilyn. When I do, if I get a result like this I'll be well pleased.Nice one.
