Fabulous Marcus. Love that red under it's wings. Acutally, when I see them it's usually near the road on a wire and by the time I get off the road and park and get out they're gone...lol Will keep trying to get closer tho. Thanks for posting this one. Marilyn

Great shot of the really hard to capture belted kingfisher, I know how hard they are to get close to, and to even get a shot off is great work. after a few years I have captured a few, here is one in flight that I will post someday, they are actually one of the few bird that look better perched..... thx for the comment....
