Looking at her silhouette, I think she's quite OK. Maybe, just maybe, controlling the lighting would help a bit. Never tried portrait, but I think, reflecting a bit of lights from the window, from downside up, and ask her to focus on something about a feet from her hands might enhance her appearance... Just a thought. I should've tried that myself...
