About	Really I don't know how this came out, the lens was a lemon. This was one of several that came out of a bunch of shots. Maybe the only time it would focus (without being so soft you could use it) at 300mm is when the object was 50 feet away. I don't know, I struggled with it (then found some reviews) then exchanged it for some canon glass. at 300mm, ISO-100, Pattern metered, 0 step.

Oh my gosh, the movement in this picture is amazing! I like how the wings blur just a tense. I think it helps convey the movement just a little better.

Perhaps with a shutter speed at 1/1000" you will catch it perfectly "frozen".
