About The road from Malham Tarn to Malham is so isolated it's unreal.

this was on our way back from Settle on Sunday, we decided to take the scenic route.

Paul and Damian stopped in the car for this little pause. the tarn wasn't that inspiring, but I saw what little sun there was glimmering on the road - and the road had this lovely pattern.

A surprise shot fo the weekend - to go with the 150 smooth waterfall shots of course!!

Great perspective here, Ade! The b/w really makes the road stand out, too, it's almost glowing!

Hi Steve - I don't think I'd done this route either, there's a little road from Settle to Malham (off the road to Horton), so we took it. Really steep, like the italian job, at first, then it gets very moorland-ish with all the limestone peeking though.

I bet it's a pearl of a place when the light is right at dusk. Maybe get a B+B in malham and catch it before retiring for a very indulgent pub meal and few ales.

I could get used to these photography weekends - take 300 photos so you've done the creative thing, break a lens (maybe not.... the insurance are pondering that one currently) then get showered and in the pub for 4:30! Actually works out cheaper than a night in leeds (all the taxi's and pricey pubs).

Oh - the 300D made £420, not bad really when they are doing them new on EBAY from hong Kong for £399 now.... think I sold at the right time, they'll be £200 next month!!

Cheers

Ade

Nice shot Ade despite the conditions, I have never done this route before but it looks a good spot when the lighting is right.

I'm back at work tomorrow and will pop into the local camera club tomorrow night and see what gives.

Best wishes,
Steve
