Beautiful picture! My grandmother always told me, when I was young, that when you could see rays of light like that a disaster was about to happen. Hapily it never did.. :)

Hello David,
I think you should give digital b&w a try, I have seen many digital b&w shots on usefilm that really looked very good, at least on the computer screen, and I don't think all of them were edited with the full photoshop edition ;-) Moreover, the b&w option on your Canon might be very useful to see if something is interesting as a b&w picture at all. When I get back my photos after processing, I often realize that some of the shots simply were not b&w-compatible motifs.
Greetings,
Paul

I agree that black and white is much evocative in many situations ... my new Canon 20D has a black and white option I have tried yet, but I'm afraid in this digital world I'm going to have to wait until I accord afford the full Photoshop edition with its channel mixers to even get close to film based images.

I had a look at your image - beautiful capture. Well, I happened to have a b&w film in my camera that day. Moreover, I think that the rays of light can be seen even better in b&w, in (my) colour shots they are often barely visible.
Gabry and Mohammed, thanks for your comments.
Regards,
Paul
