very well done Phil....you are getting this lighting down....with the same care you used for this, try it on your models only just dont cram them on a table top....on second thought that could be fun...

Hey Phillip....I know how hard these tabletop shots are and you have done a very good job on this one. You do have some rim litting on the front plate and have no idea what to tell you on this one...I'm still having a hell of a time rim lighting bottles.

The only thing I would change is to have a little more white space in the front...the glass base and plate stand seem cramped up too close to the edge of the pic. Thats just MHO ...someone else may see all together different...*smile*...Maggie

Thankx all. Yes it was challenging ;) Tony, I used a white seamless paper background that is on my portable backdrop stand. I use this roll of white paper when I attempt High Key shots, which by the say I still have a bit of a problem with. The items are sitting on top of some plactic board that I borrowed from a sign maker. The glassware was borrowed from an Antique dealer a few more doors down from my shop. I'll have to return all of it today. Especially the glassware! I owe thanks to Artie for his help with lighting techniques that have been mentioned from time to time with others working with glass.

Yes, an excellent blown-out background, very well done. I would try some rim lighting on this, the plates in particular. Try to get a thin highlight on those scalloped edges. These objects are quite different and including them in the same frame makes for a challenging shot.

Nice, Phillip. What DID you use for the background? Love that negative space!
