About Coming back from the Navajo Loop Trail at the bottom of the bryce Canyon I spotted this lone tree being lit by the last rays of light entering the canyon. Thought this would be a great subject for a shot.

This is a captivating image with wonderful light on the formations. I wonder what it would look like if you had moved to the right enough so that the close formation on the left didn't overlap the next layer of formations and it was possible to follow the sandy ridge to the left between them.

I saw this on Timecatcher, like it very much. I think your work is stunning and of a consistant high-quality. The light and composition are wonderful as usual! Well done, good work.

IT certainly is, the sunlight on the rocks is fantastic, so many hues showing up the wonderful textures and then the lone tree- 7++++++++

Great image - the light is perfect. The shadows on the vertically aligned rocks and the tree acting as a perfect foil.

Great back lighting on the tree. I do find the highlights on the left most tufa to be where my eye falls though. The tree although beautifully backlit is still rather subtle by comparison to that tufa. This of course is the most critical of analysis. I think in regard to subject and presentation this is top notch. I almost wonder if a side mounted graduated ND filter might have helped here. Not sure I would have thought of that in the field.
