Additional note about the original Terra-cotta in China:
Upon ascending the throne at the age of 13 (in 246 BC), Qin Shi Huang, later the first Emperor of all China, had work begun on his mausoleum. It took 11 years to finish. It is speculated that many buried treasures and sacrificial objects had accompanied the emperor in his after life. What has been said to be the most exciting archeological find of the 20th century, the discovery of an entire army of over 7000 life-size terra cotta soldiers, is nothing short of astonishing.
In 1974, a group of local peasant farmers while drilling a well to irrigate their fields have uncovered some pottery. It caught the attention of archeologists immediately. Over 2000 years old, and completely forgotten by the people of China, the Terra Cotta Army is complete with generals, archers, horses, foot soldier and more, each individual statue being unique. Altogether over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons have been unearthed from the 3 pits. Most of them have been restored to their former grandeur. The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. It was listed by UNESCO in 1987 as one of the world cultural heritages.
Location is around 1.5 kilometers east of Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum, in Lintong County, Shaanxi Province.

Thanks for your comments. Regarding the color, it is natural. Even the sky when I shot was not too good but I decided not to manipulate because it is not a landscape picture; it's kind of reportage photo. I will try to find some links for you to compare, and have an idea before your trip.
