Good cafe... but prefer Cafe Socis for its history... or maybe that glass one at the end of Esplanadi by the harbour...
And a welcome thought upon returning to -2C after sun & sea in T&T 4 a WE...

Dear Verena! Now I think I remember...I was in Helsinki in the summer 1999 and I had dinner in a restaurant where the landlady was dressed like an angel and she told us stories about angels and their presence in that restaurant...Please tell me it's the same cafè Engel, please...See you!

I'm not travelling that much as it seems, but my business brings me quite often to Finland and Italy is my preferred holiday area...
From time to time I book a cheap flight (app.Euro 20-40) and take one weekend trip to another fascinating location like Copenhagen.
enjoy the chance to at least see the results :)

Hi Verena, Well spotted, I like the multiple levesl in this photo, it works very, very well... Another thing is the slight mismatch in perspective, which adds a very intriguing and ingenious element to the shot. Very intresting shot....

sehr schöne Reflektionsperle. sicher schwierig, da den fensterrahmen mit unter zu bringen, aber du hast das gut gelöst. das grain passt auch nicht schlecht dazu.
sehr feine composition. ich hör die harfen...

Why did I add this one to my favourites?... To be truly honest I really don?t know why... I do know it pleases me - a lot!... It's somehow nostalgic, calm... Reminds me my student times... I like the delicate sound that comes from inside and that tipycal smell... Your photo brings it all to me... But a funny question - would any photo of a Café do this effect on me? Oh well... (like our dearest friend Hoogterp would say!) - I'm not so sure about it... There is something in this one, maybe the sharpness of the letters against the backgroung and their shadows... I like it a lot...
