About Eruption of Old Faithful Geyser - the most famous geyser in Yellowstone National Park. This is a distant view of Old Faithful and the visitor's center. Somehow it is a little more romantic to see it in the natural setting rather than with all the crowds.

James:

I use a linear polarizer, and I think that after darkening the sky in PS I sometimes get dark corners.

Hi Michael, I agree completely. It should somehow be possible to admire these wonders of the earth withouth being hindered by visitors' centres, or, probably worse, other visitors.... I only had that pleasure once on a trip through Iceland, just about off season. That was breath taking....

Anyway, a beautiful shot, the zoomed out angle places it beautifully into perspective. Very nice shot, especially with the dark and ominous sky.

Cheers,

Hugo

a nice shot, and good that you left out the crowds. but what's happening in the top right and left? do you have a lens adaptor on the camera?

This is the first picture that I have ever seen that is far enough away to see the geyser in the context of its environment. oh and what Jeff said goes for me too.

Jeff: Are you ever NOT on usefilm? When do you have time to actually take all the photographs you post?

Just giving you a hard time, friend. Thanks for all the feedback and let me know what I could do to improve.
