About Tripod mounted shot - I took the same image twice - once exposing for the foreground and once exposing for the sky. I joined them up in Photoshop.

Prety dramatic and a spooky feel to it.

The fence leads you to a busy hole ready to gobble you up and the menacing sky realy adds to the drama and tension. I wonder what ever become of those people who left their foot marks !

Regards,
ken.
Note: I am in Drogheda. Nice come accross someone from Ireland. I presume you live in Waterford?

Hi Shane,

very well seen and executed. I really adore the awesome detail in the fence and in the grass. and the shadows make this image. problem is that the high detail/contrast in the middle part contrasts a bit hard with the heavy grain in the sky. it becomes a bit unrealistic thereby.

anyway, this image is very special, like your whole portfolio up to know. wish you the very best for the future here at UF.
Take care,
Thilo

I love imagery like this! My eye is just sucked into the photograph like a vacuum! I don't have a lot to say about this, it is just wonderful! Plus, I have an uncanny way of misinterpreting your photography.

I do like this very much. Well done.

Wonderful photo, shane. The sky looks very dramatic, but IMO there is too much grain in it. The shadows are composed very well, as I said: good picture!
