Hi Hugo,

thanks for your comment, don't think too much about the fly in the shot, it was not planned at all. And I recognized it only when I wanted to stamp the black dot away.

So the composition was only concentrated on the half butterfly and I wanted to be seen as was it is, don't do it too much abstract.

Anyway thanks for your elaborate comment.

Highly appreciated my dear friend!

Cheers,
Verena

Hi Verena,

I'm not sure what it is, but this image lacks some "determination", I think. The combination of tones is quite alright, and the suggestion of the metal moth and the fly go well together, but I think that idea gets stuck in the composition. I think its the difference between the partial view on the metal sculpture, the POV on the wall, and the barely recognisable shape of the fly.

The feeler of the sculpture, separated from it's body also creates some disbalance, I think.

Not sure if it was possible, but I think getting closer to the fly, capturing the wing and metal reflection in the lower left corner would've made it more abstract and less ambiguous, if you see what I mean. (otherwise, see the attached image....)

Cheers,

Hugo

Immagine altamente drammatica:
Il riflesso rende vere le ali della farfalla ed altrettanto vero l'impossibile desiderio di volare.
Best regards

Nice shot, but I'd be tempted to take a shot with a sunset reflected in the wings. I love your cropping here.
