About I caught this first ray of sunlight reflecting off the midships of the Alpheus W. Drinkwater into the water. Light can do wonderful things.

Enjoy

beautiful image.

PS work is evident over the edges of the trees.

James,

You might know it already - you can make a copy of the layer you want to brighten or darken by selecting the part and using 'control + J' in PS. For ex. here, select the dark trees and make a copy do the brightening.

Then use use 'control + E' to merge down to flaten the image.

regards,
ken.

Yes light can do wonderful things sometimes! I have yet to paint with light, but will try it soon! Although I love the natural lighting best, I like to experiment. The reflections in this image are just wonderful as is the composition of this photo! Bravo! :)
