About This image was taken on a $7-00 disposable camera that had no flash or settings. Just point and shoot. I then scanned it and gave it a sepia effect with a border.

This was taken during a Photography Car Rally.

Larry, you tease me.

The Photographers car rally is lots of fun. Everybody is on the same par with a supplied disposable camera and a list of subjects that must be photographed and also a list of directions with questions that must be answered on the way. There are bonus points for the first to finish and then all the photos are judged by a neutral judge who doesn't know the identity of the photographers and their photos.

We are doing another one in a couple of weeks but on foot around the botanical gardens looking for selected items and landmarks. Always with a BBQ at the end to have a few laughs over the experiences.

Our last one included us having a run in with law. The police chased us around town, finally catching up with us about two hours later...LOLOL!!

Thankyou SD. I have to admit the cameras were terrible to use. And this was the opinion of all who used them that particular day. But we were all suprised with the results.

An interesting experiment.

Yes Ferdinand. I have seen many wonderful works of art on this site from people with very basic equipment but lots of imagination.

You have said to me many times before, that the whole image boils down to what the photographer can do. The camera is only a tool in that process. So with that in mind, I thankyou for the compliment you have paid my work.

Thankyou Rafi. You give me such confidence in my work. I thankyou for that. I was quite surprised at the results from such a camera. There will be a few more submitted over the next couple of days.

Sam. Thankyou for your wonderful comments. Of course you may use it. I have a few others here from the same disposable camera that I will be uploading soon. They include some lens flare images...very strange. If you want to see them beforehand, give me your email addy and I will send them onto you, save you waiting.

Excellent. Amazing. can i say more? Wonderful use of the disposable. its a challenge using them for excellent photography but it seems you accepted and excelled at the challenge! Bravo! May I share this with my kids? (I teach public school and a photography section, we were debating about using disposables or cheap zoom 35mm cameras)

Heheheh 7$ Cam, loool, this proves it is not about the equipment, it is what you can do with it. I really like it, the tones and sepia effect is really nice, the vertical line is excellent, very well done, regards,

Dear Judi,
You can make a work of art from almost anything that comes your way and I'm not sure that you can't strike the word almost. Who, but you, would see the beauty in this mundane twisted iron and its shadow?
Thank you for your very generous comment on my "J.".
Best regards,
Rafi
