Good one, Chris. And it's the same viewpoint as I found forty years ago before I left England! I love those rich dark greens edged with autumn colouring.

Beautiful Stourhead, I think you have been successful here in finding another angle. I particularly like the framing, and the first 'touch' of autumn.
I'm off to India again tomorrow, so I'll have little chance to comment or submit. I'll try and catch up when I get back.

Beautiful angle, Chris. I like the framing with the tree in the foreground. Colors are deep and beautiful as always in your images. Ciao Günter

Really nice - I think that the way you have used the trees to frame the shot (close on the right, far on the left) gives it a great deal of depth and leads the eye in a sort of a wandering path straight into the picture. Obscuring part of the building with the trees on the left gives it a sense that the image continues on beyond what we can see, so that works. The movement of the water in the foreground contrasts well with the stillness of the water surrounding the building (be interesting to see the same picture with absolutely still water). Plus I like the fact that the drop shadow follows the generally "left-and-down" alignment of elements in the picture. So.. really well put together, IMO, and quite a pretty place. My only quibble is that the frame reduces the size of the picture and except for the drop shadow doesn't (for me) add enough to compensate for that loss.

Nice composition, Chris! I like the use of a foreground object, such as your trees to give the feeling of depth and perspective. Dave.
