About The neon lights aren't as bright as on Broadway, but you still find many talented musicians playing for tips all over NYC, above and below ground.
The original photo was in color, but I thought it looked better in a b/w, slightly toned image.

Thanks, Ciana. I recall spending my whole lunch hour listening to this guy the day I shot this - he was that good. I work in downtown NYC. The part of Stone St. that the photo was taken on is more like a cobblestone alley, fronted mostly by restaurants.
I work a few blocks away. I'll often bring the camera in to work with me in the warm weather months, and go looking for photo ops during lunch.

I agree with it being in B&W- I think color would have distracted from the subject. This shows the different details and textures well.
