Fabulous landscape photo Arthur, I love the composition of this very much indeed. The clouds in the background make a fantastic backdrop and the colours in the balloon are superb.

Beautiful image. I too have attended a couple of balloon competitions lately, but unfortunately was not able to capture somthing as nice as this.

Since you know the area Dave.....it's the Gatineau Balloon Festival and I took the shots from the Ottawa side of the Ottawa river, near the Rockcliffe Park lookout which is fairly high up. I got the picture just as it was clearing the trees at takeoff.
