Thanks for the kind words, Den. I love my D70. It's the first SLR I've ever owned. I am learning a little every day about how to use it and which settings are best for situations. A lot left to learn, I'm afraid.

Thanks for the comment, Heath. This shot was heavily backlit with the sun setting behind the flower when I took the shot. It tended to overexpose the edges. I liked the effect and kept it in thinking that it contrasted nicely with the black background.
The grey line is just a highly lit edge of the petal that I left alone.

I like the way that light grey line is framed - intentional? Photoshop afterwards? I know that some may say it is slightly overexposed, but I can see that you did that to bring out the warmer green tones.
