About Here is a shot of Canal Park and the Ariel Lift Bridge at Dawn. All boat traffic in and out of the Duluth Harbor must go under the bridge.
The bridge is the only connection between Park Point and the mainland. So if you live out there and need to get to work in the morning, you better know the boat schedule.

Hi Jim. I've been a bit quietn lately due to heavy work load and playing with new toy. Thanks for your comments. Although I haven't replied I've been keeping a keen interest on your work and as there's so many I've picked this one to make contact on.
Firstly congrats on Staff Choice - well deserved!
This structure is intriguing. I would love to see it in operation. You've captured it so well. The silhouettes against the sky and the water reflections really give atmosphere.
Keep up the good work. I'm still D70 playing but some images will be forthcoming soon.

Hi Jim, this is a beautiful dawn shot and has many elements in it that i like, the lighting, the smoothness of the water, the jet stream in the sky and even the slight vignetting. Did you use a pol filter? It also work very strong graphically with the bridge and the regular forms of the buildings. In short an excellent image. Well done.
Best wishes and thanks for all your comments

Neil

Chris
No boat, there is a street which goes around the Entertainment center and its right on the waters edge. All i had to do was step out of the van and shoot. With tripod.

very nice sunrise Jim, did you get a shot with the bridge up that morning, would be nice to see just the reflection of the sun on the water under the bridge, while it is up. very good sunrise otherwise though
