Richard Thanks for commenting this picture. I had no idea how to do this and shot just what was near. What turned out surprised me and I saw it as abstract art.

Just like a woodcut. A good beginning, however I would caution that this has become almost entirely abstract, not that that'e a bad thing. But when you reduce the elments to either black or white with no middle tones, you must be sure that enough information gets transmitted to the viewer in order for the viewer to identify a subject in context. I might not have known they were books without reading the title. In which case I would have to assimilate the image strictly as an abstract.
