Showing us something we don't normally see
Wonderful graphic design
Unexpected textures for a somewhat familiar subject, showing us that there's more to pine needles than we thought. I love when that happens.

Very even lighting working very well for this subject
Very good depth of field to bring out the complexity of the subject without overwhelming us with busy-ness.
