It's actually a very famous place. In the 70's and 80's it was a popular scene for gay cruising and pick up scene for straights. The phenomenon was well documented in the Armistad Maupin books, "Tales of a City" and the actual location was used for filming in the PBS film version of the books. Interesting huh?

Thanks. This is pretty much straight out of the camera. If anything, I toned down the yellow a bit in post. I shot it in Cloudy sky WB mode, which tends to warm things up a bit on my D-100.

Thanks for the comment Tim. It was a strange 4 hour layover in Amtsterdsam that found me there at 7 in the morning. It was sort of creepy, dark and rainy, like our girl.
