Dear Regina, I was born in Alexandria not Cairo although I am not living there at the time being. I know Giza by heart, I used to go with friends to rid horses there and every time I go to Alexandria from Cairo, the last thing you see are those Pyramids before driving to Alexandria. You must have been to Egypt recently because I did read you talking about Pizza Hut witch is not so old there. Regards.

hey, TED: Congratulations on BIP!!!
Glad you enjoyed the motorcicle, fiat car and sun on the top of Pyramids, opposite to former biker photograph! i kinda like that way, because i enjoyed the sense of perspective that Steve Bowden gave with 'Water Babies' and 'Walk in the Park' that gave us an overall view how the place is like: http://www.usefilm.com/image/436907.html
Thanks for visiting my work, my Dear! Groeten, Regina

Oh, Ted... You always make me smile! *wink* Yes: yellow Fiat pushing motorcycle with Pyramids in the background, opposite to the other biker photo with rich sunny day and great contrast... so evryone can get to know the area - as Steve Bowden did with Water Babies and the other picture opposite to the Fountain, named "Walk in The Park":http://www.usefilm.com/image/436907.html
Yes, Dearest, it was pure fantasy and i was half-sleep at 5h30 a.m. when i left Hotel for city tours! Yawn... Groet, Regina @-->-----

Dearest Ozjan, Glad You enjoyed the picture of the Pyramids... it felt reddish from the sun at dawn there! i was partially awaken but the different light and beautiful reflection woke me up and i just HAD TO take the picture... althought the car was driving fast and i took the shot through the glass window, i felt i kinda liked the outcome.
Yes, i saw Aida Opera and the Laser, sound & Light show at night... Unforgettable experience, my Dear Friend. *sparkle* WOW... how can You know the exact place where i took this shot?!? Do You live in Egypt? ...or You have lived there? How familiar You are with the Pyramids surroundings, Ozjan?!?

Dearest Steve, the 'camel trick' also caught me... and i was really terrified 'cause i was travelling on my own and this Camel herder at the pyramids took me on a ride to a more secluded area where he FORCED me to pay extra $20 to finally being able to leave the Camel and run back to meet the guy i've hired to be my translator and the driver that were far away from that spot... It seems they've got some Inflation rate there too: You ought to pay the ride before hand and have to pay DOUBLE to end the Trip!!! i was pretty mad, 'cause the guys hired previously at the Hotel Concierge, seemed to KNOW about this Camel herder tricks for MORE MONEY and did nothing to STOP that to happen to ladies like me! BAD PUBLICITY to Egyptian Tourism!!!
Yes, Steve, it also breaks my heart to see some people begging for food on the streets... i truly melt. i came back home with a lighter suitcase, 'cause i gave mostly everything that i had to Charity there as well. But now, after arriving home safe and sound, it feels nice to have been able to travel and seen so much throught Life in the Blue Planet. *wink* Thanks for sharing, my Friend! @-->-----

It is a complete new perspective for me Regina. It was 15 years since I was there and all I saw was a dilapidated cafe with dozens of small scorpions everywhere. Oh and a camel herder that would not let me off the camel unless I gave him $10. Unfortunately for him I jumped off lol An amazing culture, I saw one poor child begging and I took over my packed lunch and gave it to him .... he promptly "sold" it to someone else !!
