Like John Lamb I thought you must have been holding the bird at the top left ;) Really like the effects and the sense of depth in this one. Great image.

Beautiful, Chris! I really like where you placed the gulls and it's such great feeling in this! Also a wonderful composition of beautiful place!
Ps. Are you in teasing mood? I saw a beautiful photo with lots of lovely clouds and I clicked in to it and it was gone!

It is, of course, a composite, Roger, but I don't think I've actually used either of these particular gulls before. I quite liked the original scene as it was, but wanted to added a bit of life and action to it ~ hence, 'the chase'!
The 'gull without wings' was just taking off when I shot it and so the wings were in a high extended position, above the body, making it ideal for inclusion in this shot.
Kind regards, Chris

Interesting image, Chris. Strange to sea a gull without wings... I think I recognize that gull on the right from another photo of yours, though. Could I be right?

Chris, this is a great capture. I just got my copy of CS this week. If you had Elements that is registered you can get CS for half price or less. I don't see a lot of difference yet but it is to work better with RAW images. Don.

Yes i'm afraid to say it is Chris. I beginning to like the D70 very much. Especially with my 300 F2.8 and the 2x extender. Haven used the G3 since I got it.
Cheers, John

Burning up the bandwidth Chris downloading 250 mb! I have been using CS for a while and it's great. Interesting image with a strong painterly feel. Not too sure about that Gull on the left though. It must have been difficult holding the camera in one hand and the Gull in the other.
Any news on your D100 yet?
Regards John
