About Looking down on the gardens at the base of St. Michael's Mount ~ the drop is somewhere between 70-80 metres!! Sheer drop! The 'mount' is made of granite, as is the castle I'm standing in. Unfortunately the gardens were only open to the public in April and May and we got there on 1st June!! They looked spectacular 'from the air'!!

Thanks for the comment, Roger.
My lens, unfortunately, is not one of the ones that is listed!! I have a humble 28-100mm (3.5-5.6) AF 'G' series.
The Nikon won't be back for another 3 weeks or so - this photo was rescued by PS.
Sorry to hear about your scanner. Yesterday I lost a whole day's time sorting out my Mac which crashed horrendously. Fortunately I'd backed up so didn't lose any work, but it took me a working day to wipe everything, reinstall, and get everything back the way it was!!
Kind regards, Chris

Does this mean your D100 is back and functioning properly or does it mean your rescued the image by valiant PhotoShop work? Do you actually own one of those super-rare 85mm F/1.8 Nikkor lenses, or is Usfilm still forcing you to mislead us? Anyway, I'm enjoying your photos, as always.

Not in a million years would I climb up there - scared of heights, you know :-)

Once again a stunning image - you have not only captured the height expertly, but I also like the different textures.

Excellent capture, the way you have composed this image it puts me right there..I can feel the height. What a gorgeous view, I like the building on the left with the ocean to the right.
My complements.

Cannot comment on your image Chris, too scared to look, I'm terribly scared of heights.
