Another photo from our visit to St. Michaels two weekends ago.
Fellows, I've found the secret of accompanying the girls on shopping trips - bring along your camera! Clothing and gift stores have nicely-designed displays, often with great colors as a starting point. Look closely and you're likely to find interesting patterns, too.
Don't forget to take a moment between shots to tell her how nice the shoes (jacket, top, skirt, etc.) look on her, too!
Steve, I really like the concept here. I'd suggest a slightly different camera angle so the bare surface doesn't show in the lower right corner. Also, I'd try to manipulate saturation or contrast to make those colors pop.
hi, i am always looking at books and other's images for composition ideas and i had only needed to stop at your portfolio for some of the best!..seriously, i love how you filled the frame perfectly with these sandals and the shadow/lighting adds some nice contrast..vivid colors are so cheery...good eye!..regards,gayle
