Stefan both Traj I and II are strong. But I am personally attracted more to this as to the composition - her more flush left and water to right - it's a stronger image to me in this crop. Lighting both good on her. And if we are going to get into the "nitpicks" -- I'd burn out the white line above water droplets left and the right droplet to the left of her elbow -- in my opinion this would keep your eye on that loop of water from her face out to the left. I will say that the two drops on her arm do not in my opinion take away from shot - it's just in that deep dark background -- Very well done my friend. Kind Regards, Cindi

Dirck - you are expressing how I feel about these. I was very fortunate to have this late light come through only in patches and that she happened to be standing in one of those spots.

I love the water in this one, Stefan, and how the dark background isolates your subject! Overall I think I prefer this shot, although I like her expression better in the second one.
Those curls are amazing - what a cutie!

Thanks Dina - didn't even see it as it so often is with my own images. At least it will be easy to clone out :-)

Thank you Tom - you make perfect sense. I gave this more lateral room since the "trajectory" needs it. The drops to the side in the other one were less interesting which is why I cropped a little closer to her face there.

stefan, this particular photo made me smile. very cool in so many levels. primarily (for me) is the water pattern. it looks like a digital effect and almost unreal. the fact that the little girl is the source of this pattern makes this a very original shot. kind of interesting that you managed to create art that doubles as a family photo (i assume this is your daughter).

also, i like this one better than II. the girl off to the right gives the water more room to be. the second one feels a bit constrained. not sure if i'm making sense...

take care,
tom

Both of these photos are brilliant. On this one, I do notice a white line in the upper center that is distracting..... I love the way the water droplets surround her face... into my favorites for sure...
