Taken during the Usefilm weekend in Drenthe in February. Time: 8am, temperature: below zero. I kept this roll of film in the fridge for quite a while, until I finished it :)
Hi Hermen, Not much to bicker about here. The colours of the sunset are fantastically vivid, and the subtle level of contrast in the foreground is superb. The cool, wintery colours in the frosen land are well captured.
I like the fact that the compostion is slightly off centered. Personally, I'd make it a bit more extreme, placing the solitary tree a tad more to the left, cutting off the silhouette of the tree in the distance, as I would think that would balance the composition a bit more, but that's a personal thing. Rambling on, waiting for a deer to appear in the distance would have been the absolute finishing touch, but I know I'm getting carried away here. Great shot, well composed and very well exposed!
Hermen ,wel wat laat. Maar beter laat dan nooit, mooi dat je hem terug vond,want hij is prachtig Wat toch weer een heel ande lucht dan nu . De boom in silhouette is prachtig Teunis
excellent use of colour and contrast a worthy prizewinning image cannot be faulted at all the best ive seen of this type like the moonrise very effective
