You truly do excellent portrait work. I was in Monrovia today and went into the Paint "N" Play store where there is a wall of many more of your fine portrait work, all children. They were all fantastic, and a great place to "advertise" too, since so many children and parents go to that store. I'm very impressed with your work. And I like that you work on location, rather than in a studio setting. . . at least that's what the store owner told me.

David, you know you are right! I actually shot this at 5.6, but out of instinct put down 2.8. I have been learning the hard way that WIDE is not always best. He still looks a little out of focus, though.

Wonderful portrait. The composition and lighting are terrific. I think that you might want to try shooting portraits like this at a smaller aperture to increase the DOF so that both subjects are in perfect focus. for this kind of prtrait I think it might work a little better. Great job.
