was the bird sleeping? or just very still? nice job might have croped the left side a bit but then would have lost the waterfall, I do like

A dramatic shot captured in what was obviously a very low light situation. Although you have done a great job creating a resonant image out of a difficult exposure, I think it would have benefitted from a little more light so you could have pulled a bit more detail out of the foreground. I find the very large area of black in the foreground and the bright light in upper left pull the eye away from the central image. Perhaps a different crop would work? Just a thought...

A miracle shot Joshua! My interest in the moving water thing had wained but this is very cool because you've stepped back and really composed. Both the falls would be nice on their own and especially an excellent choice going the black and white, but the two contrasted in one makes the sum greater than its parts. Also crumbs to the goose, given time (30 seconds), they can show some thought process of somekind, in moving its head. Whatever kind of thought it is doing of course we can project our own drama. I know it's only a goose but you've put it in such a dramatic stage. Well cool.
