About The ad is for rimless eyeglasses; "You can't read their hearts, maybe, but with rimless glasses father and daughter look more like their real selves." My interest here was attracted by the use of restricted depth of field to focus first on father, then on daughter. I think it's rather well done, although the conditions for taking the photo (on a busy train station in the morning rush hour) were far from idea, so technically this is pretty poor.

This is an ad, consisting of two images. One of them was focused on the daughter, the other on the father. It's the ad photographer who is using the very shallow DOF for his effect, not me. OK?

This has got me totally bemused, Roger!
How can you have a difference in depth of field when, presumably, these two pictures of yours were shots of the same, single image ~ i.e. a flat plane giving no opportunity to get any blur by way of d.o.f. I'm baffled! Explanations please!!
Kind regards, Chris
P.S. I still think the effect is excellent, so have awarded what I feel is an appropriate rating!!
