About That's the name of the Cotswold village where I took this. The local hotelier told me the village was prettier than some that had a wider reputation, and I agreed.

Wow, what a gorgeous place. You caught the colours so vividly. It is superb.

Thank you, Amitava.

I don't know why I bought the zoom, except that it was a bargain bought as a "set" with the D200; it is almost always hard up against the wide-angle end. So it was bound to be 18mm.

I have taken a lot of panoramas with my D200 but Usefilm is not really the place for them due to the lack of a proper VR display utility. Also the digital camera is far from ideal for them due to its narrow dynamic range, so I am not always happy with the results... I am now lusting after a D300.

Very pretty! Almost stereotypical English countryside, down to the straightened banks! Just missing a human in the image - that would have made it immensely more interesting, IMO.

Also, I notice you've found yourself a new toy - the D200 - and moved away from panoramas. I know you've had issues with uploading panoramas to UF. D'you remember the focal length setting of the lens? you might be able to extract that from the meta-data (EXIF?) on the image.

And there I was thinking that my photo had collected nine comments! How disappointing!! Could you ask them to delete your messages? The person who sends has to do this; the receiver can't (or rather isn't listened to if my past experience is a guide).

Glad you liked this... It is hardly typical for me.

I'll alert the admin...

Sorry about all those messages, Roger, but every time I sent the comment I received a UF error message about a full disc...

Well Roger, that scene is almost TOO perfect! Technically excellent. My only complaint is with the guys that made those river banks so damn straight!
