Hello Tim,
I personally like a print to be on the darker side as long as it holds its detail and the shadows do not get blocked up (looking like black blobs in the photo). I can still see detail in the shadow areas especially at the bottom of the photo. The high lights could use a little more light on them. How did you take the photo...available light ?? Strobe??maybe just a little more exposure would have brought them out more or a silver reflector to give the edges a little more light on them. Not too much because we do not want to destroy the shadows you have captured. Over all I think it is a very nice feeling to the photo...soft and elegant and I bet it will look great enlarged and framed on the wall!!! I also like the fact that you did not put the main portion of the flower in the middle of the photo. Nice eye and good capture...keep up the great work.... Regards Mark

I think the composition is wonderful, so are the tones, but still it lacks something (just my opinion ofcourse. :) So I played a bit with it in PS:

Beautiful and subtle. Looks dark on the thumbnail, but full size is very very nice.

Beautiful petals, just a little too dark. A slight border might be nice too but its a wonderful shot. very pretty ~mandy
