Thanks ... I uploaded a new shot of the Blue Moon taken on (07-31-2004) This was taken handheld with the 300D using the EF 75-300mm USM with the Image Stabilization ... It was then cropped in PS. Shot in Fredericksburg Texas, USA in a Motel parking lot.... High Tech stuff ... LOL ... you can see it at http://www.usefilm.com/image/547221.html

Excellent moon capture, with wonderful details. Am still trying my best to photograph the moon. What was your camera sitting? aperture, shutter and ISO?

Eric, I took this at 300mm hand held from my driveway. My lens has an Image Stabilizer feature which allows me to "most of the time" get good shots without using a tripod...... it was then cropped in PS. Stuart.

So perfect details! Really interesting to see this close, especially when it's a photo with excellent quality like this! Very good!
Ps. We, who can see "men" in photos... haha. You know there is a man in the moon as they say. But for some strange reason I've never seen it. Have you?

Stuart,
Nice capture. Try the same when the moon is at a quarter and get more details from shadows.

Wow... mine may have come out brighter, but your's is definitely sharper. Great shot. I'm out in California. I'm guessing the reason for the difference of sharpness and the 180 degree inversion is because I shot mine through a telescope. You used a telephoto lens, right?
