There's a whole lotta money sitting there in that photo. Gorgeous top on the LP, well captured. I'd have to change out those knobs for speed knobs, but that's a personal choice. Beautiful.
ps Thanks for the comment. That's a Santa Cruz F Model. I think I'll try some more guitar photos after seeing this.

Stuart: Nicely done! Beautiful colors.
As to the 75-300. I started out with the 75-300 non-IS and really had no complaints. You might look at the image of the Calliope hummingbird as it was done with my 75-300.
I think for each step up in image quality we pay in geometric progression. The 100-400 L IS feels HUGE and heavy in comparison to the 75-300 as well. That's been my strongest impression of the L glass after starting with 20-35, 28-105, and 75-300. They are large and heavy and not nearly as handy to carry around. I wouldn't worry about the 75-300 IS if I were you. It's a very nice lens. If you decide to progress, you should go somewhere and try the feel of the bigger lenses first.
